Forests and digitization – do they go together? You bet! Because digitization is no longer a foreign word in forestry and forestry. On the contrary, more and more work steps and areas are now being carried out digitally. The work of forest owners, foresters or forestry contractors has long been supported by modern technologies. And now even award ceremonies are taking place digitally. The German Forest Award 2021 was streamed live from our Livestream Studio Munich.
This year’s award winners were honored by the leading medium Forstpraxis.de in various categories such as Forester, Forest Contractor and Forest Owner of the Year. Overall, the coveted award was presented for the fourth time and the candidates came from all over Germany: from Schleswig-Holstein to Bavaria!

The charming moderator Janine Mehner led through the event from our Green Screen Studio. The editors-in-chief of AFZ – Der Wald Martin Steinfath, Rainer Soppa from Deutscher Waldbesitzer and Oliver Gabriel from Forst&Technik were also in the studio in Munich. The nominees and the eventual award winners were digitally connected, as were the important sponsors of the event. Previously produced films introducing the nominees livened up the live event. In our green screen studio, we played in a background previously selected by the client as well as various film shots of forests. This created a unique and coherent atmosphere. Thanks to our 14 spotlights, the moderator and presenters were always perfectly illuminated, and four remote-controlled HD PTZ cameras, operated by our livestream technology crew, provided varied perspectives. Speakers were wired through high-quality head-set microphones, so guests didn’t have to hold bulky handheld microphones. Learn more about our livestream studio technology here.
